With the offseason in full swing, we bring back our “Let’s Get Weird, Sports” Podcast, a pod where Travis and Paul Banks (and formerly Casey) talk about random sports subjects that interest them in their spare time. Today’s LGWS pod actually has a Purdue connection, as Travis and Paul talk about Purdue’s first football coach, Albert Berg. What makes this a subject for the LGWS pod? Well, Coach Berg only coached one game at Purdue, their first ever game, which they lost; he also happened to be deaf and struggled at speaking as a result of his deafness. Additionally, we go off on a tangent as Paul reads a section from his new book, “No, I Can’t Get You Free Tickets”, as he talks about his encounter with...Bobby Knight. We’re sure you’ll want to listen in as we entertain you this offseason.
Additionally, you can buy Paul Banks’s new book from Amazon. We definitely recommend that you check it out.
