It has been awhile since we’ve done a proper Purdue related podcast. We had all these plans to do a basketball related podcast (similar to the football related podcast, Hammerin’ Ales), but it never came to be as I have been travelling quite a bit, and the staff struggles at podcasting without my help.
On top of that, we have been in a bit of a transition over the last month or so as we moved to a different platform. Earlier this year, SB Nation approached us about helping us with our podcast. Part of this included switching our main platform, and we are no longer using SoundCloud as our main platform and have switched to Megaphone.
I go into more details in the short podcast update, embedded below, and I encourage you to listen to it. But another change you will notice are the advertisements embedded at the ends of each podcast, as well as podcasts within the pods for those that are 20 minutes or more. We’re hoping that with the new revenue stream, it will allow us to improve these podcasts as well, such as getting new software and recording technology (some staff members still use built-in microphones on their laptops and phones).
Here are ways you can continue accessing our podcasts. Not all platforms were updated, so I am only including updated links below.
- Megaphone (new hosting site)
- iTunes
- Stitcher
- Pocket Casts
- Radio Public
- Overcast (Apple only)
- NEW Direct RSS Link
All but one of our older podcasts moved onto the new platform, so we may have to reupload it.
If you have any questions, or you want to see our podcast on your preferred platform, let us know.
