After recording 30 points against Fairfield and 23 points against Ball State, Carsen Edwards has been named Big Ten’s Player of the Week to start off the 2018-19 season:

✔️ 26.5 PPG
✔️ 3.5 APG
✔️ 2.5 RPG
✔️ 9 3-Ptrs.

Last season, Edwards was named Big Ten Player of the Week twice, with the second one coinciding with his National Player of the Week award from NCAA.com. He was also named Freshman of the Week once during his first season at Purdue as his career began to take off.
This award is certainly the first of many for the all-star junior. Edwards finished last season as a first team All-Big Ten selection, has been listed on many nationwide watch lists before the season began, and is a front runner for Big Ten Player of the Year. Let’s hope Carsen can keep bringing in the hardware the rest of the season.
Purdue’s next game is on Thursday against Appalachian State in the Charleston Classic.
