After two straight road games in the B1G/ACC Challenge, Purdue will return to Mackey for a rematch against last year’s opponent: the Louisville Cardinals. The match-up was confirmed by both schools just moments ago.

Last year, Purdue fell to Louisville 71-65 in the KFC Yum Library. Purdue struggled for much of the game as the silence tortured them, until a last minute push nearly gave Purdue the game.
This time around, Mackey should be rocking as it welcomes Louisville to West Lafayette for the first time since 1987. Purdue won that match-up 88-73. It’s not uncommon for rematches in the challenge, as the past two seasons have featured back-to-back Wisconsin vs. Syracuse and Ohio State vs. Virginia match-ups.
Prior to last year’s loss, Purdue had won 7 straight B1G/ACC Challenge games, and was the longest active winning streak in the challenge at the time. Purdue’s record is currently 9-7, and the nine victories is tied with Minnesota for most wins by a Big Ten team in the history of the event.
Here’s how Purdue’s schedule looks with the addition of Louisville:
November 14: at Marquette (Gavitt Tipoff Games)
November 22-24: Battle 4 Atlantis – Paradise Island, Bahamas
November 27/28/29: Louisville (B1G/ACC Challenge)
December 7: Valparaiso
December 16: vs. Butler (Crossroads Classic, Bankers Life Fieldhouse)
TBD: Fairfield
