A few weeks ago, soon-to-sophomore and Purdue point guard, Carsen Edwards, was invited to join the Under-19 Team USA basketball team and their tryouts in Colorado. Earlier today, it was announced that C. Edwards was named a finalist:

Throughout the last few days, Carsen emerged as a favorite among a few reporters, and earned high praises:
I was at 1st U19 session last nite; if Purdue's Carsen Edwards keeps playing well (he had a nice start), could emerge as team's starting PG.

Edwards will be joined by Maryland’s Kevin Huerter as the only members from Big Ten schools to be named as finalists. In addition, Romeo Langford, and Purdue target for the Class of 2018, was also named a finalist. Kentucky head coach, John Calipari, will lead the U-19 team this summer.
