The last time Purdue defeated Wisconsin was in 2003. College Game Day was visiting for the Big Ten clash, and Purdue won in Madison thanks to a last minute field goal. Since then, Purdue has gone on to lose 11 straight game to the Badgers, a streak that started on that dark night in 2004.

Excluding Rutgers and Maryland, Purdue has defeated every Big Ten team at least once since the last time they beat Wisconsin in 2003. The Badgers have been a thorn for the Boilermakers over the last decade, reminding us how far Purdue has fallen since the peak of the Tiller-era.

Despite the new coaching staff in town and improved team, Vegas and much of the college football world is already writing this off and expecting same old Purdue to stroll into Madison and play dead again.

Can the Brohm Squad show the world that this Purdue team is for real? Purdue may have played Louisville and Michigan tough and close, but both of those teams have faltered since they played Purdue. This will be Purdue’s biggest test of the season, as the Badgers are definitely the best team Purdue will face this season. Now is the time for Purdue to show what they’re really made of.

Let’s play football.
