Could this be a trap game for Purdue? They’re coming off a soul-crushing close loss on the road to a Top-10 team and facing a team that, on paper, they should dominate. These kind of games have been tricky for Purdue in the past. Sure, it may be Rutgers and they may have just gotten their first conference win since 2015 (when they defeated IU 55-52 after being down 25 points), but this isn’t a team Purdue can sleep on. Yes, go on and laugh, but we’ve seen Purdue blow these types of games, even under Tiller.

Of course, I think that Brohm can get this team to focus on the task and not overlook the Knights. I know we say this every week, but this is a good chance for Brohm to show that this is a different Purdue team; a Purdue team that, even when playing on the road, can beat the teams they’re supposed to beat.

Let’s play football.
