The Cincinnati Bearcats are coming to West Lafayette for the first time in program history this weekend to wrap up a home-and-home series that began in 2013. Yes, we still remember going into that Cincinnati game in 2013 with so much hope thinking that Hazell would turn things around, but it was a sign of things to come.
Hopefully, THIS game against Cincinnati will be a *good* sign of things to come for Purdue. Win this game, and Purdue could finish the non-con 3-0, and maybe start 5-0 depending on how Maryland and Illinois adjust to their new coaching staffs (so far, so good). Lose it badly and the negative train will come rolling down the banks of the Wabash.
Anyways, let’s hope Purdue wins this game. And I assume we’ll see plenty of Harambe costumes, signs, and memes this week and at Breakfast Club given that it is Cincinnati. RIP Harambe.
