Terry Malone hired as Purdue's Tight End Coach

A nice addition for Purdue's staff

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Terry Malone will be coming to Purdue after serving as the tight end coach for the New Orleans Saints from 2006-2014. Before his tenure with the Saints, he worked under Lloyd Carr at Michigan as the Offensive Line coach (1997-2001) and Offensive Coordinator (2002-2005).

This is obviously a huge boost for Purdue's coaching staff. Malone gained great experience working with Carr at Michigan, even earning a national title. And during his time with the Saints, he helped with the Super Bowl team in 2009 and working with Jimmy Graham, who recently has been one of the best tight ends in the nation (though he's more of a wide receiver at times, but that's a story for another time).

Once again, a nice gain for Purdue. With Malone's move to West Lafayette, Gerad Parker will take over as wide receivers coach.
