Kreul is a big get at a position of need. he brings enough size that he could see the field next season from day 1.
He is a consensus 3-star commitment across the board and brings excellent size at 6’3”, 220 pounds. After losing Markus Bailey, Purdue is in search of an inside linebacker to step in and lead the defense. That is where Kreul could find a role immediately.
Purdue is not deep at linebacker. Cornel Jones will return from injury. Jaylan Alexander got plenty of experience as a starter this past season, but aside from those two, there are a lot of questions at linebacker. Purdue has a few options that were able to redshirt this season, but Kreul has the ability to come in an be a potential answer from day 1.
