A big body from Louisville is going to help with the depth in the trenches.

Name: DeShon (DJ) Washington

Position: Offensive Live

Ranking: 2* by Rivals

It took 4 members from the coaching staff to get DJ Washington to commit. But it happened. He was a formerly recruited by the coaching staff when at WKU. But now, he got a B1G offer.

Washington is a B1G sized kid. 6’5”, 280 pounds, strong lead kid. I don’t know if he will help from day 1, but he will help with depth and down the line he will be a starter for us. He plays with a serious mean streak, gets up to the 2nd level nice and obliterates the linebackers.

I would project him at offensive tackle, but who knows, Brohm may put him at guard. The lineman he has picked up for the offense are all tall lean kids, no real chubby guys. You can see just from this class what he wants from his OL. When a former Hazell commit came to campus, Rob Hudson, he decommitted the next day, I would assume he wasn’t Brohm’s style of lineman.

We now need lineman that can keep up with the pace of the offense & DJ Washington is that type of player. I am looking forward to having him help us in the near future! Welcome aboard!
