Name: Jack Plummer
Position/Size: Quarterback, 6’5”, 220 Pounds
Ranking: 3*
Other Offers: Arizona, Boise State, Cincinnati, Colorado State, South Carolina, Oregon State, Hawaii
Impact: Jack was quarterback number 1 for Coach Brohm and his staff. At 6’5”, 220 Pounds, many would think that he is strictly a pocket passer. On the contrary. Jack can move for a big fella. He is less mobile than David Blough, but is more mobile than Elijah Sindelar.
Jack comes into a crowded depth chart at quarterback. But there are some question marks. How will David Blough recover from his ankle injury he sustained this season? I do not believe it is career threatening but who knows. Also, Sindelar has been banged up as well. Then there are the wild cards. I think Jared Sparks makes the full time move to wide receiver, so he is out of the equation. Nick Sipe will be coming off a redshirt year, but how good is he?
Jack is Coach Brohm’s first quarterback recruit for the Boilers, sure you could say Sipe and Alstott were, but he inherited the last recruiting class to an extent.
Jack is going to enroll in January and will begin his career early. This always helps with the learning curve for young quarterbacks.
Check out his highlights!
Welcome aboard, Jack. Boiler Up!
