My understanding is that he was getting snaps with the first team at guard in spring ball, so this seems a bit of a surprise, but I'm not that close to the situation with our O-line depth chart for next year. He transferred in from FIU a year ago, so obviously did not hang around long. Still a bummer lose O-line depth, whether a starter or backup.
