#1 Purdue vs. Jacksonville - Open Thread

Plus, how to watch.

Syndication: Journal-Courier Alex Martin/Journal and Courier / USA TODAY NETWORK

Fresh off taking down the #1 team in the country, and then being named the #1 team in the country, Purdue is back home in Mackey Arena tonight against the Jacksonville Jason Mendozas. Wait, I’m told that’s not right. It’s actually the Jacksonville Bortles. Hold on...bear with me one second...the Jacksonville Dolphins. And yes, that last one is right. It’s the Jacksonville Dolphins.

For those that don’t know anything about Jacksonville, they are currently ranked 271st on KenPom which is one spot higher than previous Purdue opponent Texas Southern (a 99-67 Purdue victory). They are 230th in offense and an incredible 301st on defense. Those aren’t numbers you want to see lined up next to your team. I just want to say it was very smart of the Purdue schedulers to put this game and the Eastern Kentucky games after the game against Arizona and the brutal non-conference. Purdue needs some cupcakes when the students aren’t in town and tonight’s game should be just that.

Who: #1 Purdue (10-1) vs. Jacksonville (8-4)

When: 6:30 p.m.

Where: Mackey Arena

TV: Big Ten Network (Connor Onion, Rapheal Davis)

Radio: Purdue Global Radio Network (Rob Blackman, Bobby Riddell)

Join us in the open thread as we hope Purdue eats against an overmatched opponent. Would love to see guys like Braden Smith, Zach Edey, and Fletcher Loyer not play much, if at all, in the second half.
