Demeco Kennedy, a 6’2”, 285 pound 3*(86) defensive lineman out of Frederick Douglass High School (Lexington, KY), signed his National Letter of Intent to play for Purdue in the 2024-2025 season. He is considered the 1007th best overall player in the nation, the 84th best athlete and the 8th best player overall in Kentucky.

Kennedy chose Purdue over offers from schools including Illinois, West Virginia, Kentucky, Louisville, and Ole Miss.

Kennedy played on both the offensive and defensive line in high school. It looks like Purdue is going to give him a look at defensive end first. He started on Fredrick Douglas’s state championship team in 2022 and was a team captain as a junior and senior.
