Purdue Football: Koy Beasley Signs

Koy Beasley is officially a Boilermaker!

Syndication: The Enquirer GEOFF BLANKENSHIP FOR THE ENQUIRER / USA TODAY NETWORK

Koy Beasley, a 5’10”, 170-pound, 4-star (94) safety out of LaSalle High School (Cincinnati, OH), signed his National Letter of Intent to play for Purdue this morning. Beasley is considered the 125th best player in the nation, the 11th best safety, and the 6th best player in the state of Ohio in the 2024 class.

Beasley selected the Boilermakers over listed offers from schools including Wisconsin, Pittsburgh, Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, Michigan State, Minnesota, Nebraska, Texas A&M, USC, Virginia Tech, and West Virginia. The Boilermakers survived a late push from Syracuse and their new head coach Fran Brown, who also offered Beasley as the defensive backs coach at Georgia.

As a senior at LaSalle, Beasley played both defensive back and wide receiver. As a receiver, he pulled down 18 receptions for 299 yards and 3 touchdowns. That’s 37.4 yards a completion if you’re keeping track at home. On defense, he was credited for 19 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, a forced fumble, and an interception. I’m slightly suspicious of their record-keeping.

When he’s not on the football field, he’s on the track. He has a 10.44 100-meter dash to his credit and a 21.51 200.
