The Purdue Boilermakers and Head Coach Ryan Walters picked up a big portal addition with the commitment of former Illinois Fighting Illini running back Reggie Love. The former 3 star prospect out of St. Louis, Missouri has run for 1,053 yards in his career with 6 touchdowns. He will likely fill the role left behind by Tyrone Tracy as a change of pace type running back and pair with Devin Mockobee.
This is a major pickup for offensive coordinator Graham Harrell as the running game in year one under Ryan Walters became the staple of the Purdue offense over the final weeks of the season. With the additions on the offensive line, Purdue has retooled it’s offensive outlook and will look to filling their wide receiver room over the next several weeks ahead of spring football. The Boilers will also look to additions at cornerback and linebacker to help boost the defensive side of the ball along with punter and kicker.
