I don't keep very close tabs on Purdue basketball recruiting. But, I see Xavier Booker (who was a Purdue target) committed to Michigan State today. Was this another case of Painter was on him first and Izzo stole him? He said Purdue was in his final five and he took an official visit. Was he one that we really coveted and thought we had a legit chance at signing? The article made it seem like he came out of nowhere. If Painter's track record holds true, it sounds like he may have been on him early and others figured it out and Izzo swooped in and got him. Is this true? You can read the article here.
