A Big Ten Athletic Center

If the Conference gets any bigger does it make any sense to build a Big Ten Athletic Center somewhere in the Midwest with a football field, multiple basketball courts, tennis, baseball fields, a track etc etc etc?

My thinking is for some of the smaller sports is there really a home court advantage? You could have mini tournaments at the center which would cut down on travel. You could use it for NCAA tournament games - have high school athletic events encouraging Recruitment.

Could be a really bad idea but it just came to me with everyone talking about all the travel. Club tournaments could be held at the center to maximize usage and value. Big Ten Tourney could be held there as well.

Put it in Chicago close to down town and Northwestern could use it as a home field if they wanted to. Everyone can get to Chicago with direct flights and it could serve as a future Olympic Village.
