Painter Radio Show 1/4

I was listening to the Painter Radio Show last , which is always an intriguing listen for those who have never tuned in, and he talked a lot about our defensive deficiencies. The biggest point he harped on and kept brining up was how we constantly are making mistakes related to game plan. Basically guys aren't doing what they're being coached to do, and as a result you have guys doing different things instead of defending as a team.

For me this is pretty concerning since its not necessarily a talent thing its just a mental thing. If we're basically halfway into the season and guys don't know what they're supposed to be doing on defense. That's a bad sign. It doesn't matter how good of a coach you have if the guys you're coaching don't go out and do the things they're coached to do.

I'm also guessing this is part of why we're seeing some guys get more minutes than other guys. If you can't follow the game plan you're not going to see the court.

Also there were a few questions asked to coach about either Ivey or Morton playing point guard. Those were pretty much shot down immediately so I think its safe to say that IT and Hunter are the guys we're going to live and die with there. People may say this is stubbornness, and maybe it is, but it looks like we're just going to have to trust Painter.
