A few things to point out about the Boilermakers path to March Madness this season:
- Quite possibly the toughest stretch for Purdue will come in mid-January with three straights contests against Michigan State, Iowa and Indiana who all figure to be ranked coming into the season.
- Drawing Illinois and Wisconsin as home-and-away splits could be huge to steal three or four conference wins. Illinois and Wisconsin were right at the bottom of the conference last season and do not figure to have drastic changes this year.
- The Big Ten is stacked as always. Even with games against lower competition, there are no givens with the level of basketball being played in the Big Ten. Purdue will have to prove themselves day in and day out if they want to have a successful season.
Fans will be anxious to see how the new look Purdue Boilermakers fare this season amidst massive changes within the program.
