Two seasons ago Purdue was a 10.5 road favorite at Nevada. We all know how that turned out. Now Purdue goes on the road to yet another group of Five team as a big favorite. The Boilers have not won a road game at a Group of Five team since winning 52-24 at... Toledo in 2007. That includes a 24-22 loss at Rice in 2011, a 42-7 loss at Cincinnati in 2013, a 41-31 loss at Marshall in 2015, and the 34-31 loss at Nevada in 2019.
Losing to the UConn Huskies though, especially after a nice win over Oregon State to open the season, would be disastrous. UConn is 0-2, just lost by 10 points at home to a patriot League team from the FCS in Holy Cross, their coach just announced he is retiring effective at the end of the season, and Purdue is a gigantic 32 point favorite as of Sunday afternoon.
Don’t. Blow. This.
