Purdue has a bunch of talented receivers, but today’s player might be “next” on the list.
Abdur-Rahmaan Yaseen - Fr. (RS)
Southfield, MI (Walled Lake HS)
6‘2”, 195 pounds
Wide Receiver
2021 Projection: Contributor
Yaseen is yet another four-star receiver on the Purdue roster. He came in last season and played in only a single game, amassing zero stats, so he held on to his redshirt. He came off of a senior season where he caught 86 passes for 1,646 yards and 20 touchdowns. He even had 47 tackles and two interceptions as a defensive back.
Yaseen is a player that is likely on the second team behind David Bell, Milton Wright, and whoever wins the slot position, but he is a very talented freshman. I can see him becoming a steady contributor as the season goes on with more of a breakout in 2022 once Bell is off to the NFL.
