The Den of Defensive Ends is adding another potential member of the exclusive club.
This weekend, J.P. Deeter, a standout DE/DT from Manvel, Texas, announced his commitment to our Purdue Boilermakers.

At 6-4, 265 Pounds, J.P. has a arare build, in which he is already prepared for college football if he is going to play defensive end, this is a similar build as to Big George Karlaftis, when he arrived at Purdue a couple of years ago.
J.P. has played inside and out on his high school defensive line and is productive wherever the coaches put him. The 3* prospect had plenty of other offers, including Stanford, Washington State, Oregon State, Navy, Army and Memphis.
After watching some of his film, I would say he is more of a run stopping defensive lineman than a pass rusher. He does a nice job of extending his arms and finding where the ball is going. I would not say he is overly explosive right off of the snap, but he does a great job of recognizing the play.
Welcome to Purdue, J.P.!
