The fifth year from Carmel should provide key depth.

It is always important to have depth on the offensive line, and today we see some of that depth with another fifth year senior.

Mark Stickford - Sr. (5)

Carmel, IN (Carmel HS)

6’5”, 305 pounds

Offensive Line

2021 Projection: Possible starter

During his time at Purdue Stickford has been all over the place. He has been a three-time academic all-Big Ten selection, but the only year he has seen the field was in 2019. In that year he played 10 games and made eight starts. This was after a solid career at Carmel where he won a Class 6A state championship.

As a fifth year player, however, there are expectations, and this year Stickford should be a player that, at minimum, is counted on for depth. He can be a quality reserve with starting experience and he can fill it at guard or tackle as necessary. That makes him a valuable player to have.
