Per the Men of Mackey on Twitter, fan favorite Lewis Jackson has joined the team for the annual The Basketball Tournament.

Lew Jack, who has started getting more involved with Purdue Basketball, may be the most beloved and talented point guard of the Matt Painter era.

Lewis Jackson played a vital role for Coach Painter and the Baby Boilers, one of the most beloved eras in Purdue Basketball history. Jackson was the definition of a true point guard in his time at Purdue. While not scoring a ton of points, the four year starter distributed the ball well, played defense, and hustled his tail off.

In recent months, we have seen Lew Jack helping Ray Davis with some of his camps around the state of Indiana, along with former Boilermaker great, A.J. Hammons. I for one am absolutely stoked to see that Jackson will be playing for the Men of Mackey. Men of Mackey will likely announce additional players throughout the week. Regardless of who else is announced Lew Jack should command the point guard spot for the team.

As a reminder of how great Lewis Jackson was, here are some of his finest Purdue Basketball highlights. And yes, of course it includes his first collegiate dunk.
