I was already excited when it was announced that Katie Gearlds would be joining Purdue Women’s Basketball next season to learn behind Sharon Versyp before becoming the Head Coach in 2022-23... After having the honor of talking to her, I could not be more ecstatic about the new era of this storied program. Coach Gearlds is as real as they come, full of energy, and puts a lot of emphasis on building relationships with her team. I could not think of a better fit for Purdue than the former Boilermakers All-American.
