After learning about the losses of Karissa McLaughlin, Kayana Traylor, Bria Harmon along with seniors Fatou Diagne and Tamara Farquhar in the transfer portal or graduation, Purdue’s 2021 recruiting class has taken a hit.
4-Star forward Sacha Washington announce via Twitter today that she would be reopening her recruitment, likely due to the incoming coaching change.

Washington is rated as a 4-star recruit and the 57th prospect in the country, along with the 13th ranked recruit in the state of Georgia. She chose Purdue over offers from Georgia Tech, Miami (Florida), Auburn, Florida and Old Dominion. Stealing a big time prospect from the middle of ACC and SEC country would have been huge, but this time it did not work out.
At 6-2’, she would have brought a lot of size and rebounding to the Boilermakers, which is desperately needed following the departures of the aforementioned Farquhar and Diagne.
This leaves the 2021 class for Sharon Versyp and coming with three incoming players next season. 2021 Indiana Miss Basketball Jayla Smith, 4-star guard Skye Williams and a New York wing in Ava Learn.
