All three of Purdue’s current commitments had stellar seasons and entered the state tournament among the favorites to win in their respective classes. While seniors Trey Kaufman-Renn and Caleb Furst will play this weekend in the state finals, junior Fletcher Loyer’s Homestead team suffered its first loss of the season two weeks ago in the regional. He will return next season as one of the state’s top seniors, and as a result he was named an Indiana Junior All-Star today.

This season there is only one game instead of the usual 3 for the juniors, so there are only 12 juniors instead of the usual 18.

Below is the full Junior All-Star team:

Tayshawn Comer, Cathedral

Tae Davis, Warren Central

CJ Gunn, Lawrence North

Jalen Jackson, Carroll (Fort Wayne)

Will Lovings-Watts, Jeffersonville

Fletcher Loyer, Homestead

Branden Northern, Silver Creek

Braden Smith, Westfield

Peter Suder, Carmel

Leland Walker, North Central

Jalen Washington, Gary West Side

Charlie Williams, Carmel

In addition to Loyer Purdue is recruiting Gary West’s Jalen Washington, one of the top players nationally in the 2022 class.

The junior team will play the senior team on June 9th, and the senior team will certainly have both Kaufman-Renn and Furst on the roster.
