It’s tournament time and Purdue gets some virtual home games as long as it stays in the field. The Boilers will be making a very short bus ride down I-65 for this year’s tournament and will start on Friday evening against North Texas at Lucas Oil Stadium. From there, Purdue will stay in Indy for the rest of the even as long as it keeps winning.
The Boilers have a relatively favorable path. Purdue is a 4 seed and will be a favorite against North Texas. They then will get a second round game against a Villanova team missing one of its stop players or against a Winthrop team that is a 12 seed, but has only lost once on the season.
It is going to be an interesting run to be sure, and hopefully a memorable one. This team is building for the future, but the future may be now.
