I don’t think this is a must win for Purdue, but if Purdue were to win it would be a very good thing. It makes bowl eligibility a near certainty and gives us a win over an opponent that is likely finishing with a losing record. It won’t be easy though. Nebraska has five losses, but all by 8 points or less. They have lost to three teams that are undefeated in Michigan State, Michigan, and Oklahoma. Yes, Oklahoma tries to lose every week it seems, but undefeated is undefeated.
This one will not be easy. The Cornhuskers have probably the best offense Purdue has faced after a parade of very bad ones. Their defense is average, but Purdue’s own offense has not been lighting the world on fire. It is worse than the last couple of defenses we have faced.
Again, this is not a must win, but it feels like we need this one.
