Former Purdue grad transfer guard and now 7 year professional basketball veteran, Jon Octeus was kind enough to spend some time to sit down for an interview!
He discussed life in overseas basketball, the business that comes with playing basketball, his experiences playing all around the world, all of the different ventures he is working on off the court, coming to Purdue, the Boilermaker’s family culture, and much more!
Jon joined from all the way in Japan where he is currently playing with the Koshigaya Alphas this season.
Since leaving Purdue after the 2014-15 season, Octeus has played in the NBA G-League, Germany, and most recently Japan. He is currently just starting his seventh professional season this year. Octeus has also played with Purdue’s alumni team, Men of Mackey, in the TBT the past two years and competed with Team USA as a part of the ever growing 3x3 Olympic sport.
Thank you to Jon for taking the time to do this and being so open, and as always thank you to our fearless leader T-Mill for allowing me to share this interview with everyone! Hope you guys enjoy, Boiler Up!
