Losing sucks but we can still win!

It is what it is…..

I’m just as let down as the next Purdue fan that we have let 2 winnable games get pissed away. We weren’t able to get the Wisky monkey off our back- weren’t able to shove Fleck’s oars up his ass. I think Wisconsin has the ability to win out with their only really tough game left being Iowa next week at home. They finish with Minnesota which could be for the West division. Minnesota also continues to win and has a favorable ending schedule other than Iowa and Wisconsin.

But we are still 4-3. In the last 13 seasons we’ve made it to 6+ wins 4x. We are just 2 games from achieving this with 5 games left.

Our defense which was ungodly awful last year has had a tremendous turn around. Our offense has flashed signs of great ability to move the ball- but is still lacking a consistently dominant QB or RB. This team has played with and shown great heart- but today and Minnesota second half’s have been just unexplainable. I am still on the "give Jeff time" bandwagon- but he’s gotta own up to today’s result.

Let’s look at the remainder of the schedule

+@Nebraska- tough go but we have played them very well under Brohm. 50/50 W/L

+MSU- they are a hard team predict being undefeated but obviously has talent. We get them after a major Michigan rivalry week. 60/40 L

+@OSU- been a juggernaut recently, nearly impossible to win in the shoe but who knows 80/20 L

+Northwestern - no excuse this year 80/20 W

+IU- always rivalry toughness but if we need this for win 6- count it. 7 would just be sweet 60/40 W

I see us finishing the season at 7-5 (6-6 at worst). 7 wins in regular season would be first time since 2007. We’re talking Curtis Painter/Kory Sheets era.

Let’s go Boilers!!!!
