Purdue Women's Tennis ITA Regional Preview 2021

Purdue’s women’s tennis now takes their turn at the ITA Regional Championships. It will be a good chance to see how the newcomers fare, as well as where the more veteran players stand at this point in the fall. Again, I just plan to keep an eye on what should be some decent tennis.

What To Look For:

I really want to see the freshmen in action. Purdue lost a few key pieces from the past two seasons, so the new faces will need to adjust quickly if the Boilermakers want to improve on last year’s results. Based on the current seedings, I expect Purdue to have a winning record on day one, keeping most of their players in the main bracket. A loss or two wouldn’t be that unusual, but more losses than that could be a troubling sign. Ultimately, losing here means a lot less than losing in the spring, but it would be nice to make some noise in this tournament.
