How strange was this game? Purdue had three different spots where normally things would have gone sideways:
- Jalen Graham dropped a near certain 95 yard pick 6.
- Mitchell Fineran missed a short field goal after Iowa had done the same.
- Purdue lost a fumble thanks to the dumbest rule in all of sports.
Through all that, Purdue still not only won, but won by multiple scores. In tweets is always great when Purdue wins. When Purdue beats ranked teams, it is even better. We’re getting used to beating top 5 teams, so that’s even better. Beating a top 5 team on the road? Well, that’s not something that had happened in my life time until yesterday, and I am officially old now after my birthday last week. The win was an excellent birthday gift.
So here is this week’s In Tweets. Everyone savor the flavor as Purdue now leads the Big Ten West.

Purdue drops an easy pick-six then Iowa shanks a 25 yard FG. Welcome to college football in 2021… insanity.— Dub Jellison (@DubJellison) October 16, 2021

It’s the darndest thing to see a Purdue player hurt and hearing Iowa fans cheering him instead of booing. Almost like James Franklin is full of crap?— JP in IC (@JPinIC_BHGP) October 16, 2021
I’d rather take the ACT than watch Iowa try to cover David Bell.— Go Iowa Awesome (@IowaAwesome) October 16, 2021

God damn, even in a win she has no chill.

I would absolutely shit on my porch if I lost at home to Purdue while ranked No. 2 in the nation and talking an exorbitant amount of nonsense— Treb (@treblaw) October 16, 2021
spent all week -- the entire week -- asserting an injury conspiracy was deployed against them in a win and then they showed up at home with that, lol I would be SICK— Treb (@treblaw) October 17, 2021
