Purdue Football.

Season Long Injuries.

At this point, these two phrases are synonymous.

Yesterday, Coach Brohm announced that two more players would be done for the year.

This time, it is two former four star recruits.

Mershawn Rice and Abdur-Rahmaan Yaseen.

Both, were quietly having good years as back ups to Miilton Wright and David Bell.

These two join a plethora of injuries that Purdue has sustained over the course of the season.

These two join the Zander Horvath, Payne Durham, King Doerue and David Bell of offensive players that have missed at least one game this season, all considered starters.

Luckily, if there was a position that could sustain injuries, it is wide receiver.

Look for Broc Thompson to see an even larger role, as he could back up both David Bell and Milton Wright.

Don’t be surprised to see RS Freshman Colin Sullivan on the field or even true freshman Preston Terrell, who the coaches are very high on.

While there is still depth there, it is starting to get thin. We will need all of these guys to make plays on Saturday to beat Iowa.
