SO.
MUCH.
HATE.
Purdue must travel to its Most Hated Rivals for a game that looks quite daunting on paper. Iowa will enter this game as the No. 2 rated team in America, their highest ranking in decades. They are fresh off of a monster top 5 home win over Penn State, which propelled them there. It is a huge challenge for the Boilermakers, who have not beaten a top 5 team on the road in nearly 50 years.
There are a few things goin in Purdue’s favor, however. First, Purdue had a week off to rest, heal, and prepare. Second, Jeff Brohm has done very well against the Hawkeyes, going 3-1 since coming to Purdue. Third, we have David Bell, who has posted huge numbers against Iowa the last two seasons.
It is not going to be easy by any stretch but I think Purdue has more of a shot than people think.
