Purdue has added it’s third transfer of the off-season.
This one for you pops! I would like to thank the USC staff and my brothers that I went to battle with. With long prayers & thoughts me & my family have decided that I should transfer and play for Purdue University. #BoilerUp #HammerDown @JeffBrohm @CoachJamison @CoachCBarclay pic.twitter.com/0uSUfcVCPP

Jospeh Anderson, the former 4 star recruit, will be coming to West Lafayette from South Carolina.
Coming out of High School, Anderson was ranked the 134th best player in the nation as well as being ranked the 8th best Strongside Defensive End.
He will join George Karlaftis as top 10 Defensive End Recruits from the 2019 recruiting class.
Similar to George, he had offers from everyone. Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, Notre Dame, Clemson, Kentucky, LSU, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State and Va Tech, to just name a few.
Joseph enrolled early in 2019 as well, giving him an extra semester under a college program already. The USCe staff was relieved of their duties at the end of the season and have had a handful of guys leave the program.
Joseph, per the USCe website, is now 6-3, 275 pounds, making him a body that can play both on the edge and interior DL if need be. In 2019 he redshirted and this past season he played in 4 games, tallying 4 tackles.
This is the second SEC player Purdue has added this week, Joseph will join O.C. Brothers (coming from Auburn) as Boilermaker teammates. To me, this signals something more than players transferring in, as we usually do not get SEC transfers, potentially a defensive coordinator is in place and has yet to be announced.
Welcome to Purdue, Joseph!
