Purdue received welcomed news this morning, when it was announced that Senior Greg Long would return to Purdue for an additional season.
Offensive tackle Greg Long will return to #Purdue in 2021, https://t.co/mDoTruoyzI has learned. The UTEP grad transfer started all six games in 2020 at right tackle and was honorable mention All-Big Ten.https://t.co/28pLbhfqmf pic.twitter.com/M8DBPJtkMV

Long, started 9 games as a freshman at UTEP before battling injuries his next two seasons there. He then made the move to West Lafayette, which has been a great choice. Long was a plug and play starter on the offensive line from day one.
He was excellent at Right Tackle and he was named Honorable Mention in the Big Ten Conference this year after starting every game for Purdue.
He brings back welcomed experience to an offensive line that has continued to improve. With Long, Craig, Hartwig, Garvin, Jornigan, Holstege, Washington, Stickford and newly acquired Tyler Witt, the offensive line should have plenty of the depth and improve.
On a way too early starting 5 of the offensive line, I would feel great with this lineup:
LT: Cam Craig
LG: Gus Hartwig
C: Sam Garvin
RG: Tyler Witt
RT: Greg Long
That starting 5 with the returning guys like Washington, Holstege, Jornigan, Stickford and Eric Miller should provide plenty of depth for 2021.
Welcome Back, Greg!
