This is why the Detroit Lions are a poverty NFL Franchise. For things like this!
Another surprise QB cut: The #Lions are waiving David Blough, source said.

Blough made his debut last Thanksgiving and ended up starting five games in place of Matthew Stafford. He'll go on waivers.
All joking aside, Blough filled in pretty well last season for Matt Stafford when he was injured.
He threw for just under 1,000 yards and four touchdowns, but, he also had six interceptions and maybe that is what lead to being waived - inaccuracy.
David also had a touchdown catch last season on a trick play.

But, it appears that longtime journeyman and career backup, Chase Daniels will be the number two guy in Detroit now. Daniels has made a great living with being a back up QB and for some reason, he continues to be recycled.
My guess is that David will end up on a practice squad somewhere as a 3rd string quarterback, as most teams have their backup spot filled at this junction of the NFL season.
Either way, he will find his way back on a 53 man roster in the near future.
Best of Luck, David. Boiler Up.
