Purdue needed help on the offensive line last year. While things got better as the year went on, there is still a problem with separation at four of the five spots. That is why today’s player was brought in to compete immediately.

Offensive Line
2020 Projection: Starter on the Offensive Line
Long brings a decent amount of experience to Purdue. He played in nine games and started four as a true freshman in 2016. He then started twice in 2017, but missed the rest of that year and all of the next year due to injury. Last season he was a solid contributor all season long.
If Long can stay healthy he stabilizes the line like so many of Brohm’s previous graduate transfers. He could also be here a while, too. His injuries mean a possible sixth year, plus we should have him in 2021 anyway because of the COVID “this year doesn’t count” rule.
