When you get true freshmen offensive linemen most of the time they are projects in need of a redshirt year. That is what we expect with today’s player.

Offensive Line
2020 Projection: Likely redshirt
Bycznski comes to Purdue with Big Ten ready size. He was a consensus three-star recruit and was a All-Ohio in Division I by the Ohio Prep Sportswriter’s Association. This was on a team that struggled to a 4-6 record, but won its last three games. He played primarily offensive guards which is a good sign for Purdue. We have a lot of guys that are versatile players that can move around to multiple line positions, but getting a true guard is a plus.
He, of course, has the primary job of knocking other large men to the ground to free up the offense, and he does that well.
