With all he recruited talent that Purdue has at wide receiver a walk-on seeing the field might seem like a long shot, but we all remember Seth Morales.

Andrew Sowinski - Fr.

Indianapolis, IN (Bishop Chatard HS)

6’, 170 pounds

Wide Receiver

2020 Projection: Likely Redshirt

If you want production, look at Sowinski. He played for Bishop Chatard in Indianapolis, the most decorated program in the state with a whopping fourteen state championships. They are absolutely dominant in Class 3A in Indiana, and the road to that Class’s title goes through them.

Last season they got No. 14, and Sowinski was a major reason why. Headed into the state title game he had 63 receptions for 1,032 yards and 22 touchdowns. He only had one catch for 23 yards in the 34-3 win over Heritage Hills, but that is because he got injured early on.

Sowinski is a preferred walk-on, and with those numbers he is definitely worth a look.
