Friday will either be another near miss or a very, very good day for Purdue basketball. Harrison Ingram, the unanimous 5-star prospect and top 10 player nationally is expected to announce his commitment at 4pm CT Friday, September 18th.

I have to say, wearing the #13 looks good on him. It is the Shirt of Legends for Purdue with Glenn Robinson and John Wooden both wearing it when they each won National Player of the Year.
Purdue and Stanford have allegedly been leading this entire race, with Michigan and North Carolina as late, but strong challengers. Howard and Harvard are probably longshots, but Howard did get another 5-star already in Makur Maker and they have the experienced Nojel Eastern on board now. he has been pretty quiet about his commitment plans until this week when he had a “Stay Tuned” tweet.
If Painter lands Ingram it would be huge. He would be the highest rated recruit Coach Painter has brought to West Lafayette and probably the highest rated since Glenn Robinson. He would give Purdue a pair of top 35 players nationally in the same class when Painter has only gotten one top 35 player ever in Caleb Swanigan. Given Swanigan’s unique circumstances it would break new ground to land Ingram. Even better, he was an AAU teammate of Caleb Furst, Jaden Ivey, and Ethan Morton.
So now we wait...
