With the NFL beginning it’s season today, one particular Boilermaker made some history with his 92nd career sack. That number marks the Washington Re... Football Team’s all-time record for career sacks and Kerrigan stands alone atop that mountain!

Since being drafted in the 1st Round of the 2011 NFL Draft, Kerrigan has been one of the best defensive players to come through West Lafayette as the 10 year veteran has racked up 92 sacks, 116 tackles for loss, and over 400 tackles. He now joins the likes of Darrell Green, Sean Taylor, Ken Houston and more legends from the Washington’s franchise.

During his Purdue career, he posted insane numbers of 33.5 sacks, 57 tackles for loss, 14 forced fumbles and even had an interception during his sophomore season. After his stellar senior season, he was named 2010 Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year and was a Consensus All-American.

Congratulations to Ryan, keep making Boilermaker Nation proud! Boiler Up!
