Dave Monnot III, the towering offensive lineman and former 3 star recruit will try and break the rotation this season.
When we recruited him we knew he would be a bit of a project, as he came in as a lean, athletic offensive tackle. The question was if he could put the weight on once he got to campus.
Well, in just over a year, he has put on 30 pounds of good weight and is ready to contribute to an offensive line that is always looking for help after a below average season in 2019.
While I personally prefer to go with the veterans on the offensive line, if Dave is one of the top 5 players, we need to play him.
I see him as a reserve still though, as he will continue to work on his strength in 2020.
