Name: Nalin Fox
Position & Size: Offensive Tackle, 6-6, 260 Pounds
Hometown: Pontiac, Michigan (Notre Dame Prep HS)
Strengths: Mobility, Hands, Ability to get to the seceond level, Athleticism
Weaknesses: Strength, Weight (Cannot play at 260 in B1G),
2020 Prediction: Redshirt
Nalin, with maybe the best name of the 2020 class, comes in as a raw offensive line prospect.
He has pretty good athleticism and ability to get up to the second level. Where he lacks is strength and weight. He has to improve in post of those areas to be able to play in the big ten during his career at Purdue.
Nalin was ranked a 3* prospect by 247 sports when he was high school, with his only other Division 1 offer coming from Toledo. He was an early Verbal to Purdue, so his recruiting mostly did not materialize.
Nalin will definitely be a project though, like many Jeff Brohm Offensive Line signees. He likes to get athletes with the ability to bulk up and grow into their bodies while sustaining their quickness.
He relies me quite bit of Jimmy McKenna from the 2018 class, who was recruited at around 260 pounds, standing 6-6. But had some great athletic ability.
I do believe Nalin will be a redshurt candidate in 2020, allowing him to practice and build himself up in the weight room.
