Purdue Football: David Bell & Rondale Moore Named Biletnikoff Watch List

Two Wide Receivers named to the list? How many schools can say that?

There is no denying, Purdue probably has the best dynamic duo at the wide receiver position in the big ten.

But, maybe even the nation.

David Bell and Rondale Moore were both named to the Biletnikoff Watch List, an award that is given to the top receiver in the FBS.

Purdue joins household names of USC, LSU and Alabama as the only schools with two players on the list.

As we all know, Rondale Moore’s 2019 season was derailed after a season ending injury, Moore was on pace to eclipse over 1,500 yards last year before the injury. But, in 2018, his freshman season, he did haul in 114 catches for over 1,200 yards all while scoring 12 touchdowns.

People have not forgotten about Rondale Moore, as he is projected on many mock drafts to be a first round selection in 2021. The former First Team All-American as a freshman, the first since Adrian Peterson, will look to bounce back in 2020.

While the injury to Rondale Moore was a punch to the stomach in 2019, it did open up some more opportunities for David Bell.

The in state prospect reeled in 85 catches for 1,035 yards and 7 touchdowns. Good for Freshman All-American honors and the Big Ten Freshman of the Year honors.

Some are worried with targets with both big time targets being healthy, but in the Brohm pass happy offense, there will be plenty of chances for both players to eclipse 1,000 yards again, even with a big ten only schedule on the horizon.
