56 Days Until Purdue Football: Viktor Beach

COLLEGE FOOTBALL: SEP 28 Minnesota at Purdue Photo by Zach Bolinger/Icon Sportswire via Getty Images

Name: Viktor Beach

Position & Size: 6-4, 310 Pounds, Center

Hometown: Fort Myers, Florida (Bishop Verot HS)

2019 Outcome: Starter at Center before injury

2020 Prediction: Starting Center

As a redshirt freshman, Viktor appeared in 6 games as a reserve gaining valuable experience at the interior offensive line positions.

As a sophomore, he took the reigns over as the starting center, which always seemed destined to happen the moment he committed to Purdue.

After playing about half of the season, he was the ruled out the remainder of the season with a back injury.

Some say the offensive line improved after Viktor got hurt, while they did improve it was not due to an injury to the best center on the roster. The teams we played down the stretch were also just not as good.

I fully expect Viktor to take the reigns back as the starting center and help lead an offensive line that is now getting older to one of the best seasons under Coach Brohm.
