88 Days Until Purdue Football: Garrett Miller

Will the redshirt freshman make a difference at tight end this season?

NCAA Football: Purdue at Michigan State
I KNOW IT IS COLE HERDMAN

Name: Garrett Miller

Position & Size: 6-5, 250 Pounds, Tight End (RS Frosh)

Hometown: Round Rock, Texas

2020 Prediction: Rotation at #2 TE

Thoughts: I believe Tight End is a position that is completely up for grabs. Brycen Hopkins is headed to the NFL and leaves a huge void at the position.

This void could be filled by committee or maybe a single player explodes on to the scene. IF by committee, you will Miller, Payne Durham and Kyle Bilodeau all contribute. If by a single person, I believe that nod goes to Payne Durham.

Garrett Miller is a nice multi tool tight end. He has the body and frame to be a productive blocker to help in the run game. But he is also a solid route runner and can go catch the ball over the middle like we saw last year with Brycen.

With no spring football game or summer practices it is hard telling. But I will tell you, Garrett will be ready for whatever role he has to take on. Whether it be the starting tight end, back up tight end or helping on special teams, he will be there.

Here are some of his High School Highlights.
